It's hard to describe the sound the cranes make. It's loud but not unpleasant. I do miss the huge flocks of starlings from the UK - this is the closest thing to it. They rise up, disturbed and then fly off to another field as a huge crowd. And then in the sunset more threads of cranes continue across the sky.
I guess they do this for a week or so before they all fly off permanently.
Behind the clouds last night there were great revontulet, so now the photohunt for those begins again.

Hola Karin! its nice to meet you. What beautiful photos. hope you can visit my blog soon. Rio from Barcelona
Sometimes, I think about moving to Finland (I'm a dual citizen)but then I think about the dark winter and SAD. I look forward to seeing your winter pics. There is a stark beauty in the landscapes.
Karin, I'm not sure why I didn't realize you had your own blog! What wonderful photos, especially the last. Such a sky!
I hope you'll be posting more soon, will follow you from the Fuzzy Tales account, since that's the one I use most of the time for commenting.
BTW, the needle to take the urine sample is a fine one, thin. They go in through the abdomen. I'm sure it's not pleasant but both my boys have had it done several times and have been fine. It really is the best way to get a "clean" sample for testing.
